Two launches fined for violating rules at Dhaka River Port

A mobile court of the Ministry of Shipping on Saturday fined two passenger launches on several grounds including not having railings on their stairs at Dhaka River Port.
The court led by the ministry's Joint Secretary Munshi Md Moniruzzaman conducted the drive and fined those.
Of them, 'MV Glory of Sreenagar-7' was fined Tk 3,000 for not having railing of stairs and 'MV Jamal-9' faced a fine of Tk 1,000 for berthing violating the rules.
Members of the river police, Ansar and Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) and other officials were present during the drive.
