Top listed of illegal arms owner arrested in Kaliganj

Police arrested Shakil Molla (34), who is at the top of the list of illegal arms owners in Kaliganj, from his in-laws' house. He was arrested at around 10 am on Tuesday.
The arrested Shakil Molla is the son of Karim Molla of Kalapatua area of Jamalpur Union. There are numerous cases against him, including murder, drugs, and weapons. He is known as a top terrorist and drug lord in that area.
According to police and local sources, Shakil Molla, who was on the run for a long time, returned to the area after the change of power on August 5. After that, he resumed terrorist activities and drug dealing in the area without any hindrance. Shakil Molla's name is at the top of the list of illegal arms owners in Kaliganj. Shakil Molla stole a stolen pickup truck last Tuesday night and took it to his hideout. Later, the police went to recover the pickup truck on Wednesday.
At that time, Shakil Bahini, along with some local BNP leaders and activists, stopped the police. Since then, the police have increased surveillance to arrest him. Shakil Mollah escaped during a raid on his house on Monday night. Finally, around 10 am on Tuesday, the police conducted a raid on his in-laws' house in Baluavita area, arrested him and took him to the police station. There are numerous cases against him, including murder, drugs, and weapons.
Kaliganj Police Station OC Md. Alauddin said that Shakil Mollah has been arrested. There are several cases against him. Preparations are underway to take legal action against Shakil Mollah.
