Schoolgirl crushed under train in Cumilla, rail track blocked

A school girl died after being crushed by a train in Cumilla on Thursday.
The accident took place around 11 am in Mazar Gate area near Rasulpur station under Adarsh Sadar Upazila.
In the accident, students blocked the rail track in that area.
The dead Mim Akter, 13, was a ninth grader at Rasulpur High School.
Locals said Mim was crossing the railway line through the gate to go to school. At that time, Dhaka-bound Chattla Express and Chattogram-bound Parjatan Express were crossing. She saw the train on one side but did not see the train on the other side and was crushed by a train. She died on the spot.
On hearing the news, the classmates of the teenage girl came to Rasulpur station and blocked the railway line. Dhaka-bound Mahanagar Provati Express train got stuck at Rasulpur station, common passengers have suffered.
Cumilla Railway Station police outpost in-charge Mustafa Kamal said police were sent to the spot on information. The body girl was recovered and sent to Cumilla Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
