Residents suffering due to collapse of bridge in Baira village at Muradnagar

In Byra village of Tonki Union of Comilla's Muradnagar Upazila, an old bridge of LGED has collapsed in the middle of the area. The people of the area are suffering.
The foundation of the bridge collapsed a few months ago.
After this incident, small vehicles are moving on the road towards Companyganj and Muradnagar with great risk.
Large vehicles are closed on the road. The bridge has not been repaired even though it has been in this condition for several months.
On December 22, an auto-rickshaw broke the bridge and fell into the canal. Local residents sent CNG Yoga to the hospital. He is currently under treatment at Debidwar Upazila Hospital.
Recently, it has been found that the bridge was built about 28 years ago. When the middle part of the bridge collapsed two years ago, the locals repaired it on their own initiative.
Tonki UP Chairman Taibur Rahman Tuhin said, from Baira, we reach various destinations including Duira, Jamalpur, Anantapur, Ghorashal, Mohaspur, Malipara, Deir, Nabiabad through this road.
The locals are suffering due to the collapse of the bridge.
Although small vehicles were plying at risk, large vehicles remained closed, now all vehicles are closed.
All vehicles are now closed.
I have contacted the UNO Sir, the engineer was coming today, he will start repairing the bridge from tomorrow, quickly renovate the bridge and make it suitable for vehicular movement.
He assured to build a new bridge in place of this bridge.
In this regard, Muradnagar Upazila Engineer Raihanul Alam Chowdhury said, "I have heard about this, people have gone to that place, I will start the repairing work from tomorrow. Proposals have been sent to build new bridges in place of some old bridges.
