After the fall of Awami League Government in student-mass movement, no steps of interim government are visible to eradicate unemployment. At present, unemployment rate increasing day by day, one of the main curses of Bangladesh. According to a recent UK survey , 47 percent of graduates in Bangladesh are unemployed, which serious threat to the economy of Bangladesh. More than half of youth educated people in Bangladesh are educated unemployed, main cause extreme corruption everywhere, political unrest, economic recession. Bangladesh has the highest unemployment rate in South Asia, no significant change in the unemployment situation. Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS) has published Manpower Survey on a quarterly basis, currently 2.6 million educated people unemployed in country. At the end of 2023, the average number of unemployed was 2.47 million, average unemployment rate for 2023 was 3.36 percent

When a student does not get a job even after completing Honors-Masters, depression increases manifold them, getting involved in various criminal activities including drugs many times choose the path of suicide. Most famous poet Sarat Chandra Chattopadhyay said, "The faces wrapped in the sheet of unemployment are speechless. There is no morale anywhere, the irony in the look. In the end, the mother is the only assurance in this darkness. ’ No one can feel the silent pain unemployed, no one wants to understand their feelings.

Unemployment is being created due to academic session jam of educational institutions, dilapidated education system and not taking the right steps at the right time. UNESCO study, education is the main condition for poverty reduction. But is the education system in our country playing an effective role in meeting the desired needs of an educated nation? It is normal for a graduate or postgraduate educated youth to work according to his qualifications after completing his studies. But many students are going abroad without getting work in the country. As a result, the country is becoming meritless. Although the students of our country have completed their studies, they do not get work. However, it is seen in private organizations that skilled workers are recruited abroad with high salaries. That is, we are unable to create qualified people. If the talents and labor power of the educated youth can be utilized, then the economy of the country will move forward.

Unemployment is a curse for nation, family, society and country. Therefore, research-based steps are needed to eliminate unemployment in the country. Along with state initiatives, social awareness should also be created to eliminate the horror of unemployment. Therefore, ignorance should be removed through self-reliant development strategies and social education. Short-term and long-term development and reform measures will have to be taken at the state level.

Technical education, use of technology and realistic education in higher education and increasing the scope of manpower export by creating effective manpower will have to be increased. Special seasonal programs should be implemented in the country. Another thing is that we have to revive the cottage industry of our country. To play an important role in the national economy and to get rid of the curse of unemployment, it is necessary to create new employment opportunities for the educated unemployed youth and young women educated in higher education. At the same time, we want initiatives from the field level to protect our young society. Apart from this, it is necessary to provide easy loans to build the youth of the country as entrepreneurs. Then our country will get rid of the curse of unemployment.
