Rupganj Upazila Parishad Chairman, Vice Chairman and Female Vice Chairman took the oath of office after being sworn in by all levels of professionals, political activists, teachers, leaders of Awami League affiliated organizations.

Dhaka Divisional Commissioner Md. Sabirul Islam recited the oath of elected chairman and vice chairmen of different upazila parishads of the division in the 6th upazila parishad election at the Dhaka Divisional Commissioner's office on Monday, June 24.

After taking the oath, he paid tribute to Bangabandhu's portrait at the Upazila Parishad office at noon on the same day in his constituency. Later, upazila executive officer Ahsan Mahmud Russell along with leaders of government professional organization Officers Club along with various professionals, political leaders and civil society people gave floral greetings to the newly elected Upazila Parishad Chairman Habibu Rahman Habib, Vice Chairman Mizanur Rahman Mizan, Female Vice Chairman Ferdousi Akter Riya.
Acting Chairman of Upazila Parishad Ferdausi Alam Neela, Joint General Secretary of Upazila Awami League Azizul Haque Aziz, Upazila LGED Chief Engineer Morshed Ul Al Amin, Project Officer Ariful Islam, Family Planning Officer Romanur Nahar, Public Health Engineer Ayesha Akhter Munni and others were present.

At this time, the newly elected chairman and vice-chairmen said in their speech to the journalists, they will work for the development of Rupganj with the advice of Rupganj MP Golam Dastgir Gazi Vir Pratik. First, work will be done to reduce the waterlogging of Rupganj for the cultivation of agricultural land, make Rupganj free from drugs and terrorists, and free from unemployment. Apart from this, Rupganj will be made a model upazila by working on the employment and security of women, development of roads, mosques and madrassas in all departments. At this time, they expressed their gratitude to the honorable voters of the upazila for giving victory by voting.
