When winter comes, the humidity in the environment increases. But in that moisture, microorganisms like bacteria, fungi get a good chance to grow. As a result, these germs cause many diseases in humans. Along with this, many changes take place in the body during winter. More energy is needed to keep essential body parts warm. This leads to many types of deficiencies and diseases and we become sick. So doctors say to be especially careful in winter.
One in eight people in Bangladesh is mentally ill. 18.70 percent of adults and 12.60 percent of children suffer from mental problems. 91 percent of people suffering from mental problems do not get treatment due to lack of adequate allocation for medical services.
More than 1 in 5 women suffer from mental health problems in the country. On the other hand, men tend to have more reformed and negative perceptions of mental illness. Even less than 2 percent of troubled teens receive mental health services. Besides, about 8 million deaths worldwide (14.3 percent) are related to mental problems every year. 970 million people around the world suffer from mental illness or drug use problems. It is not easy to understand whether a person is mentally healthy or sick. There are many milder mental illnesses that are not easily diagnosed, such as anxiety, mild depression. If we notice that daily life activities, behaviors are gradually changing. So much so that he is suffering himself and causing harm to others. It is staying longer than the specified time. Then we think that there is a manic disease. For example, a person may be talking more, getting angry more, spending more money, doing more bad things to others. It may be accepted by others for two or three days, but if it continues continuously for two months, then we call it mental illness.'
Mental patients are broadly divided into two categories. For example, mild and moderate or severe mental illness. Milder symptoms include anxiety, depression, sleep problems and some depression. It does not cause much difficulty to the patient. In acute form patients who lose consciousness, behavior becomes very violent, sometimes vandalism. At this time, many guardians chain the patients without bringing them for treatment. That's not right.' Symptoms of mental illness may include:

* Indecisiveness or loss of attention and suicidal thoughts when very intense makes plans and attempts
* Becoming overhyped
* Sleep may be abnormally short or long
* Aversion to food or increase in taste
* Aversion to or loss of interest in home, office or professional work, these problems do not necessarily mean that he has a mental illness. However, if these symptoms or signs appear, you should talk to a psychiatrist. They will analyze it and understand whether any action should be taken here.

There are two types of mental diseases: (1) Neurosis (2) Psychosis
* Neurosis is a mild form of mental illness, many people may have high levels of it. The patient's use and behavior does not pose a threat to the family or society. It can be treated with a little medication and psychotherapy. However, this disease tends to occur repeatedly.
* Psychosis is a complex mental illness, few people suffer from this disease. Treatment is fairly effective. Psychosis is less prone to relapse than neurosis. Anxiety, tension, phobia, obsession, hysteria etc. are examples of neurosis diseases, on the other hand depression and schizophrenia are examples of psychosis diseases.
> Cold and mental problems
In addition to physical illness, some people may also suffer from mental illness with the change of season. And this is a very normal thing. This is called Seasonal Affective Disorder or SAD for short. You can say seasonal depression in Bengali.

SAD usually occurs in winter. Due to this disease people start to feel depressed and depression naturally takes hold of them. Scientists say that more than 10 million people in America suffer from seasonal depression or SAD. And more than 2.5 million people have mild symptoms of seasonal depression. So in that case it can be called Winter Blues instead of SAD.

Although there is no accurate information about the cause of seasonal depression, scientists believe that with the change of season (Season Change), there are drastic changes in some hormones in the human body that affect the mood. As a result, sometimes people feel depressed and depressed even if they don't want to. In some places, it is also believed that the lack of sunlight in the winter reduces the serotonin chemical in the brain, due to which the mood starts to become angry or depressed.

1) Seasonal depression can cause a person to sink into deep depression.
2) In some cases the weight of the person also increases.
3) Sadness, depression and resentment increase in human mind.
4) People are more tired.
5) Some people may get more hungry.

1) Seasonal depression is believed to be caused by lack of light in the body. For this, doctors suggest light therapy.
2) When the sun breaks through the clouds, you must go out for a walk. If it is not raining much or the sky is partly cloudy, you should go out for a walk.
3) Sit in the sun for at least 10 to 15 minutes daily. according to the rules After that, gradually increase the time to 30 to 35 minutes.
4) Do any kind of exercise regularly for at least half an hour.
5) Keep yourself busy as much as possible.
