Payra 1320-MW thermal power plant starts operation

After about two months, the power generation of the second unit of Payra 1320 MW thermal power plant in Patuakhali started.
After the maintenance work, the authorities started the power generation of this unit around 9:30 PM on Monday.
This was confirmed by Assistant Manager (Investigation) Payra 1320 MW Thermal Power Plant Shah Moni Zico.
Before this, the power generation of the second unit was stopped on November 9 last year for maintenance. At present, the authorities are supplying the entire 1320- MW electricity from the two units of this power plant to the national grid.
