One missing in collision between two ships in Mongla

The Coast Guard conducted an operation to rescue one missing persons in the collision of two ships named 'MV Mizan' and 'MV Era Star' at Mongla Karamjal.
On Saturday noon, Coast Guard Headquarters media officer Lt. Commander Khandaker Munif Taki gave the information.
On Friday night, MV Mizan, carrying coal and MV Era Star, carrying LPG collided in the Karamjal area near Mongla port. During the collision between the two vessels, Lokman Hawladar (18), a fisherman of the said boat, fell into the river and went missing after hitting a nearby fishing boat. The missing person is a resident of Ruyo Kata village of Dakop police station in Khulna district. When the incident was reported to the Coast Guard West Zone by Mongla Port, immediately two Coast Guard patrol boats of Coast Guard rushed to the spot and started a rescue operation.
A search and rescue operation is underway by two Coast Guard patrol teams to rescue the missing fishermen.
