One dies of dengue, 34 hospitalised

One more dengue patient died and 34 were hospitalized with the viral fever in the last 24 hours till Wednesday morning.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), with the new casualties the death toll from dengue rose to 43 this year.
During the period, 17 dengue patients were hospitalised in Dhaka while others were admitted to different hospitals outside the capital, DGHS said.
A total of 3,496 dengue cases have been reported since January 1, 2024.
In the past 24 hours, 35 dengue patients were discharged from different hospitals.
Last year, the country recorded 1,705 dengue-related deaths and a total of 3,21,179 dengue cases
