Missing youth recovered in C'nawabganj

A youth named Rahmatullah (23), who went missing from Dhamrai, Dhaka about a year and a half ago, has been rescued by the Gomostapur police in Chapainawabganj.
Police said he was handed over to his family on Saturday night. Earlier, he took shelter with the Gomostapur police station on Saturday afternoon.
Gomostapur police station OC Khairul Bashar said that Rahmatullah, son of the deceased Abdur Rab of Baranalai village under Dhamrai police station in Dhaka, came to the police station at midnight on Friday. He said that RAB introduced themselves and picked him up from his house around 12 am on August 29 last year. His mother, Momtaz Begum, filed a general diary in this incident at Dhamrai police station in Dhaka on October 7 last year. After picking him up, he was taken to some place in Dhaka and interrogated for releasing a militant-related video.
After being detained in various places in Dhaka for 9 months, he was released in Gopalnagar area of India through Jessore border. Later, he was arrested by Indian police. Indian Gopalnagar police filed a case against him for illegal entry and sent him to jail through the court.
After serving his sentence there, Indian police handed him over to BSF. BSF pushed him into Bangladesh through an unknown border in Gomstapur upazila late on Friday night. He took shelter with Gomstapur police on Friday night. Meanwhile, SI Fazle Bari, in-charge of Rohanpur Police Investigation Center, handed him over to his family on Saturday night.
