We are people's representatives. Our beloved leader Sheikh Hasina has brought us to where we are today. The main achievement of all the development that we have done in Jamalpur today is achievement of the visionary leader, Prime Minister Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina.

Awami League Organizing Secretary and Jamalpur-3 (Melandah-Madarganj) Constituency MP Mirza Azam said these at a civic reception in New York, USA.

He was present at the rally organized under the banner of 'Pravasi Jamalpurvasi' at the auditorium of Gulshan Terrace in Jackson Heights in New York on Sunday night local time.

Mirza Azam said, “Whatever development I see in my district Jamalpur, the credit goes to my leader Sheikh Hasina and the people of my area. They have won me as a Member of Parliament for 7 consecutive times. With their support for 34 consecutive years, I got the opportunity to serve as a Member of Parliament.”

Narrating the ups and downs of his political life, the former general secretary of Jubo League said, "When I went to the honorable prime minister for the work, he approved the project. As a result, I got the opportunity to work for the development of not only my constituency but the entire district. There is no hesitation to say, thanks to our leader, we have got approval for the development project worth 50 thousand crores for Jamalpur district.”

Mirza Azam said that if his proposed Jaidebpur-Jamalpur double rail line project is implemented, the distance between Jamalpur and Dhaka will be one hour and 40 minutes. It will not require any people of Jamalpur to rent an apartment or house in Dhaka.

Consul General of Bangladesh in New York was the special guest in the rally chaired by freedom fighter Nazmul Haque. Nazmul Huda.

Freedom fighters Loblu Ansar, Saleh Shafiq Genda, Shahadat Hussain Babu, Morsheda Zaman, Ashrafuzzaman, Zillur Rahman, Khandaker Abu Murad, Saidur Rahman Shelley, Ajit Bhowmik, Nasir Iqbal, Khandaker Maruf, Alamgir Khan Alam, Rabiul Islam Shafiqul also gave speeches moderated by Farid Alam. Islam, Zahurul Islam, Mashiur Rahman Justice, Abubakar Siddique and Abdus Samad Azad were present .

Awami League leader Mirza Azam is on a family visit to the United States. On Tuesday, he is scheduled to attend a friendly meeting with expatriate freedom fighters organized by the United States branch of Bangabandhu Foundation. He will leave New York for Dhaka on July 10.
