Bir Bahadur Ushaising MP, President of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs said that if there is any deterioration in the law and order situation in the hilly areas, the law and order forces will take the necessary measures.

He said, that several decisions have been taken by the parliamentary committee to speed up development in every sector of the hilly region and development work will continue in every sector in the coming days as in the past.

After the second meeting of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad in Rangamati, Bir Bahadur Ushaisingh, the President of the Standing Committee on the Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts of the 12th Jatiya Sangsad, said these things to the journalists.

In the meeting held under the chairmanship of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tract Affairs Bir Bahadur MP in the Rangamati Hill District Council Conference Room Annex Bhavan, Hill State Minister Kujendra Lal Tripura MP, Rangamati Member of Parliament Dipankar Talukdar MP, Pabna-5 Member of Parliament Golam Farooq Khandkar Prince MP, Chittagong-15 Member of Parliament Abdul Motaleb, Brakshanbaria-2 Member of Parliament Md. Moin Uddin MP, Mymensingh-1 Member of Parliament Mahmudul Haque Sayem MP and Member of Parliament for reserved women's seat joroti Tanchangya MP attended the meeting.

After the meeting, State Minister for Hills Kujendra Lal Tripura said that the matter of dredging Kaptai Lake has been given to Eknek and the work will start in the next fiscal year. Law and order forces are working to maintain peace and order in the hilly areas. Peace and order in the hill region is not possible for anyone alone. All people and public representatives should also come forward to protect law and order.

After the meeting, the members of the parliamentary standing committee will inspect the various ongoing development projects of the hilly Rangamati district.
