Life jackets among sea going fishermen distributed in Kalapara

A 2-day training workshop on 'Marine Biodiversity Conservation, Fisheries Co-Management and Safety at Sea' was held at Kalapara in Patuakhali.
30 fishermen and fishermen participated in it. After the workshop, life jackets were distributed for the protection of sea going fishermen on Wednesday afternoon.
USAID-funded WorldFish EcoFish-II activity was organized at Mohipur Cooperative Secondary School auditorium in Upazila. At that time Kalapara BRAC Area Manager Prakash Chandra Biswas, President of Trawler Owners' Association Md. Delwar Gazi along with members of Alipur Fisheries Co-management Committee were present.
Before that, Kalapara Fisheries Office Marine Fisheries Officer Md Ashikur Rahman, Ecofish-2 Research Assistant Md Bakhtiar Rahman, Field Facilitator Abul Bashar provided training to those sea going fishermen for two days.
