Nasirul Islam Bablu, Magura 

As part of the central program, the district unit of Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islami organized a large human chain in Magura on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Chowrangi Mor and Press Club areas of the town. 

The demonstration was held to press home a five-point demand, including the implementation of the July Certificate and the introduction of the peer system in national elections.

The human chain was presided over by Assistant Professor Maulana Said Ahmed Bacchu, Acting Ameer of Magura District Jamaat-e-Islami.

Speakers were  Alhaj Abdul Matin, former District Ameer, member of the Central Majlish-e-Shura, team member of the Jessore–Kushtia region, and Jamaat-nominated candidate for Magura-1 constituency; Assistant Professor Maulana M. B. Baker, member of the Central Majlish-e-Shura and former student leader; Principal Mahbubur Rahman, Naeb-e-Ameer of Magura District Jamaat; Maulana Maruf Karkhi, Assistant Secretary of the district unit; Maulana Kabir Hossain, member of the District Executive Council; B. M. Ershadullah Ohid, District Shura member and former student leader; Assistant Professor Md. Faruk Hossain, Ameer of Sadar Upazila Jamaat and former Vice Chairman of Magura Sadar Upazila Parishad; Professor Ashraful Alam, Ameer of Magura Municipality; Md. Aminuddin Ashik, President of Islami Chhatra Shibir, Magura District; and Molla Mizanur Rahman, Secretary of Shreepur Upazila Jamaat and former Upazila Vice Chairman, among others.

Earlier, a discussion was held in front of the District Commissioner’s Office, conducted by Assistant Professor Maulana Moshior Rahman, Assistant Secretary of the district unit.

The program was also attended by Alhaj Abdul Matin, Jamaat-nominated candidate for Magura-1 constituency; Assistant Prof Maulana M. B. Baker, Jamaat-nominated candidate for Magura-2 Constituency; B. M. Ershadullah Ohid, District Shura member and former student leader; and several other local leaders.
