Islamic Andolon candidate exchanges views with journalists in Mirsarai

A meeting of journalists was held with Adv. Ferdous Ahmed Chowdhury, the nominated Hatpakha marker candidate of Islami Andolan Bangladesh, in Mirsarai.
The meeting was held at the Mirsarai Upazila IAB auditorium at 11 am on Thursday.
The event was presided over by Alhaj Advocate Ferdous Ahmed Chowdhury, the candidate for the position of Member of Parliament with the hand fan symbol from Mirsarai constituency in Chittagong-1, and moderated by Mirsarai Thana President Maulana Redwanul Haque. IAB Chittagong District (West) Branch President Mufti Mohiuddin Akbar Ali was the chief guest.
Mufti Mohiuddin Akbar Ali said at the meeting, "After August 5, we got the opportunity to sit with journalists again. In the past, during the fascist government, journalists were discriminated against and did not get the opportunity to tell the truth. Now is the time to freely reveal the truth."
The special guest was District Senior Vice President Sheikh Manzur Elahi Shawkat.
Also present at the event were District President Ibrahim Khalil, District IAB Vice President Abdullah Bhuiyan, Secretary Jasim Uddin, Law and Human Rights Secretary Ed. Anisul Haque, District Labor Movement President Rezaul Karim, Secretary Fazlul Karim Mirsarai, Secretary Mohiuddin, Zorarganj Thana President Omar Faruk, Secretary Shahidul Islam,
Besides, Mirsarai Press Club President Nurul Alam, General Secretary Mainuddin, Mirsarai Upazila Press Club Secretary Anwarul Haque Nizami, former Secretary Nasir Uddin, and journalists from various local and national media outlets were present at the exchange of views.
Adv Ferdous Ahmed Chowdhury told journalists, "I call on the journalist community to stand by us in the fight to build a just and discrimination-free state."
Adv Ferdous Ahmed Chowdhury answered various questions from journalists about the five-point program of the Islamic Movement Bangladesh and national politics.
