Importance of using technology to protect the environment

Md Jahedul Islam

Human civilization is advancing rapidly with the development of technology. As a result the daily life of people around the world becomes easier. Environmental pollution is a common problem in all countries of the world. To prevent this pollution different countries are constantly holding various conferences, seminars and agreements. Scientists are always pushing towards the use of environmentally friendly alternative technologies.

Meanwhile due to environmental pollution, our future is becoming increasingly uncertain day by day. The rich countries of the world are particularly responsible for this uncertainty. However no country is free from the negative effects of this environmental pollution. So if we want to survive in the world then it is important to protect the balance of the environment. Otherwise if we can't do that then it is not impossible for us to disappear from the earth.

We all need to play an active role in protecting the environment. Every day we are destroying the environment in different ways. The use of plastic is destroying our soil and vast bodies of water. Animal and human species are equally affected. Very little of the plastic we throw away every day is recycled or incinerated. Most plastics end up in the soil. It is this harmful plastic that can take up to 1000 years to decompose. If we expect a rich and clean environment for our future generations of children then we must act now to protect the environment. Plastic alternatives should be used. In order to restore the fertility of the land then the use of biological fertilizers should be increased instead of chemical fertilizers. Green trees are one of the main sources of human survival.

But now this green nature of ours is being damaged by humans in many ways. Without any reason trees are being cut haphazardly everywhere. But what is being planted is very little compared to the needs and demands of the environment. Therefore we should all make the surrounding nature greener by planting all kinds of native trees on the house's balcony and roof as much as possible. There is no substitute for trees to protect the environment.

A lot of trees should be planted. We need to build a greener world and we need to do it now. Air is one of the elements of human survival. Air is one of the elements of human survival. Air is constantly changing from its natural characteristics due to many man-made causes. Air pollution is reducing the average life expectancy across the country. In order to get rid of this terrible pollution it is very necessary to sprinkle water every two to three hours in the polluted cities during dry season, cover the transportation of construction materials and work hours, use suction trucks to collect dust from the roads, stop the illegal brick kilns and increase the use of advanced technology sand blocks.

Apart from this it is very important to take steps to control the unfit cars, plant lots of trees, create rooftop gardens, encourage green technology, conserve water bodies etc. Meanwhile the technicians are also working day and night to keep the quality of air in the natural environment correct. These are known as green technology or greentech, environmental biotechnology etc. These biotechnologies are playing an important role in remediation of polluted environment (air, water, land). Different countries of the world monitor air quality with their own software. Everyone has the opportunity to see the air quality of different places around the world on Google Maps.

Through which the humidity of air, water and soil, temperature, level of pollution etc. can be understood immediately. If these devices can be produced on a large scale then it will definitely benefit the farming community. The need to use technology is constantly increasing. In addition to massive energy loss the environment is facing various hazards. Environment and biodiversity are at risk due to e-waste and excessive use of technology. If we take a little care the use of these technology products will also become environment friendly. Technology products need to be converted into eco-friendly ones by making old devices reusable through technology. E-waste must be disposed of properly. Electronic waste or e-waste basically refers to abandoned electrical or electronic equipment or appliances. Such as abandoned computers, mobile phones, old car parts, hair dryers, irons, vacuum cleaners, etc. E-waste must be segregated from other waste before disposal. Because it contains many toxic substances and metals. These toxic substances can cause great harm to the human body and the environment.

For example some electronic components such as abandoned computer CPUs may contain harmful substances such as lead, cadmium, beryllium, chromium etc. This substance is harmful to human body and environment. So it is important to extract them specifically. Meanwhile water pollution is a serious problem. Automation systems are common in water and wastewater treatment in the developed world. Waste water treatment is a process that removes the majority of pollutants from waste or sewage water and helps keep the water clean. Also water can be purified very easily and at low cost using biotechnology. Basically water purification is a special process.

Through which to improve the quality of water to make it more acceptable after the specific use. On the other hand if the sound level is 20 decibels then we can hear it and if it is less than that we cannot hear it. We are able to hear sounds from 20 to 20 thousand hertz. But if the sound level is more than this, our hearing will be damaged. That is noise that damages hearing is noise pollution. About 25 percent of people in the country are suffering from hearing problems due to noise pollution. Everywhere noise levels are found to be much higher than certain levels.

Indiscriminate use of car horns, construction work, use of microphones, industrial and piling work, brick breakers, cement mixers, drill machines etc. are constantly increasing the level of noise pollution to alarming levels. The current stage of noise pollution is called 'noise-terror'. Noise pollution is increasing day by day. But the technologists of the world are not sitting to save the human race from this noise pollution. They are working on various technologies to combat noise pollution. Technologies are being developed to prevent unwanted noise from entering buildings by creating specific sound waves and wavelengths to block unwanted outside noise. Technologies have been invented to save people from noise pollution by recording road noise vehicular noise in a microphone and mixing it with musical notes to create a mellow sound.

Technology has made people's lives safer, better and more comfortable by solving various problems. Technology is also causing various problems. The most dangerous application of modern technology is the manufacture and use of weapons of war. Also we generate electricity by burning coal in power generation plants but it also pollutes the air. Air pollution is causing various harmful effects on the environment like global warming and acid rain. Chemical fertilizers and pesticides help produce more food. As a result of their use the soil and water are again polluted which is very harmful to living organisms. There is no doubt that human civilization is advancing with the development of technology. But at the same time modern technology is increasing environmental pollution at an alarming rate and the world is becoming uninhabitable. But science and technology are playing an important role in solving this problem.
