Heavy heat wave has been going on across the country, no rain. The northern towns are burning.

People are gasping. In such a situation, the water level has gone down in some villages in Thakurgaon.

As a result, many tubewells are not getting enough water. There is a shortage of daily water including drinking water.

Water does not rise in the tube wells of Chakhaldi, Chandipur, Singia, Jagannathpur union of Sadar upazila of Sadar upazila of Thakurgaon district. Public suffering is increasing.

This causes loss in daily life.

The ground water level has been falling for two weeks. Tubewell water is not rising properly. The water is not getting even after installing the pump. Those who installed pumps by boding, they are getting some water. Locals have to face difficulties to fetch water from their houses.

They don't want to pay water due to the increase in electricity cost. The amount of water needed for washing clothes, dishes and cooking at home is not enough. The villagers are suffering in various ways.

Rafiqul Islam of Chakhaldi village said that madrasa students need water for ablution almost every now and then. Tubewells are not getting enough water since few days. Everyone is having a lot of problems with it. Although it is now an ongoing national problem. We urge that initiatives be taken to resolve this locally.

Julekha Begum says, I have cooked around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, I have not been able to take a bath and wash my clothes since two days.

Then again water is not available in the tube wells. Even after trying to raise the water with water for a long time, no water is found. Suddenly a little water rises and disappears again.

Shamim Anwar, executive director of Public Health Engineering Department of Thakurgaon, said that due to severe heat waves across the country, such a picture has appeared in some places of the district. We are trying to resolve it.
