Shibganj Upazila Awami League General Secretary and Municipal Mayor Touhidur Rahman Manik said, the current government is determined to conduct fair and impartial elections. A group is muttering abuses and slurs against this government.
This government has been elected for three consecutive times and has done extensive development work for the country. The poor people have got the most benefits during this government. About 3 crore common people of Bangladesh are enjoying various facilities provided by the government. Notable among these are Old Age Allowance, Widow Allowance, Disability Allowance, Pregnant Allowance, Mother's Milk Allowance, Housing and land for the landless. Undertaken various Megha projects. Among the projects, 4 to 6 lane road, Flyway, Metrorail, Bangabandhu tunnel, nuclear power plant are notable.
