Railway Secretary Dr. Md. Humayun Kabir said, the government is working on the master plan for the development of railways and many development works will be done in Ishwardi Lokosed and Pakshi region along with recruitment of manpower.

He said these after visiting Ishwardi Locoshed on Wednesday evening on the first day after coming to participate in various programs including visiting various areas of the Western Railway for three days.

He also said, if all the vacant posts in various factories including Ishwardi are filled, the manpower will increase and activity will return to the factories. New railways are being laid in the country. Ishwardi Railway locomotives will be further modernized.

Experience has been given importance in the new policies adopted in manpower recruitment. He also spoke about the important aspects of Ishwardi Foot Over Bridge Development, Station Modernization, Development of Rail and Railway Division, TLR and Recruitment through Outsourcing.

Also, the Railway Secretary visited various areas of Pakshi and inquired about various issues and held an exchange meeting with railway officials, loco masters and guards at the Pakshi divisional office.
