Fire at Karwan Bazar brought under control in 16 minutes

A fire that broke out at the Karwan Bazar branch of Sundarban Courier Service in the capital last night was brought under control after 16 minutes.
The fire broke out on the ground floor of the Sundarban Courier Service near TCB building at 9:21pm, said Rashed Bin Khalid, a duty officer of Fire Service and Civil Defence Control Room.
On information, two firefighting units from Tejgaon Station rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control around 9:37pm, the duty officer told The Daily Star.
The cause behind the fire could not be known immediately.
