Md. Zillu Gazi held a press conference in protest against the filing of various false cases including weapons and threats of death along with extortion in Hadda village under Koyra police station of Khulna district.

He made such allegations in a press conference at his own residence at 4 pm on Tuesday.

In a written statement at the press conference, he said that on 05/11/2024, Khokon, Billal, Kashem came to the business establishment next to my house and openly demanded a bribe of 50,000/- taka. When I asked why I would give the money, he became furious and threatened me saying, "You have seen what I did to Amirul in your area, I will do the same to you, I will hand him over with the army, and I will frame him in a weapons case."

They went to Hamid Gazi's house next to my house and openly demanded money. When Hamid Gazi refused to give money, he threatened to take Hamid Gazi away with the army. Khokon called local crab trader Jalil Gazi on his own mobile number 01964694265 and demanded 15,000 taka. When Jalil Gazi refused, he threatened to kill Jalil Gazi and frame him in various cases including drug cases and not allow him to do business.

He also said at the press conference that Khokon's father Abul Hossain Sheikh of village Kalabagi, police station Dakop, Billal Gazi's father Nur Mohammad Gazi of village Garuikhali, Kashem's father Abul Sang of Betbunia, police station Paikgachha, district Khulna, demanded money from the local poor and helpless people who were fishing legally in the river. If they refused to give money, they threatened to take them away and lock them in the forest.

They are leading the youth towards the destruction of society by running a drug business in the area.
