DSCC estimates Tk10cr damage in recent violence

Staff Correspondent

The financial damage of the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) is estimated at around Tk10 crore in the arson attack during the recent violence over the quota reform movement.

In a statement issued on Thursday, the DSCC condemned the arson attack launched by miscreants on public property.

The organised miscreants engaged in large-scale destruction of public property to halt the development spree of the country, the statement read.

Such violent activities of anti-liberation forces are unacceptable, the DSCC said.

In fact, through these destructions, the nefarious attempt and conspiracy to overthrow the democratically elected government has been clearly visible to the countrymen. The DSCC strongly protested such planned destructive activities carried out by the miscreants.

According to the statement, the DSCC urged relevant organisations to identify the culprits for taking stern action against them.

In the recent violence, the attackers set fire on three trucks and the toll plaza of Mayor Mohammad Hanif Flyover and vandalised three vehicles and other establishments of the DSCC.
