DNCC provides four water rescue boats to Fire Service

Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) has provided four water rescue boats to Fire Service and Civil Defense on Tuesday afternoon.

These equipment were handed over at the "Handover Shiromani of Four Search and Rescue Equipment (Rescue Boats)" ceremony held at Golden Fiber Glass (Boat Yard) at Bandar Thana in Narayanganj on Tuesday afternoon, says a press release.

Director of Fire Service and Civil Defense (Operation and Maintenance) Lt. Colonel Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury, Assistant Director (Operations) Farid Ahmed Chowdhury, Narayanganj Zone Commander of Fire Service Fakhar Uddin Ahmed, Central Technical Factory Assistant Maintenance Engineer (Acting) Mohammad Motahar Hossain and Project Director Arifur Rahman on behalf of DNCC's Urban Resilience Project (URP) were present.

Director of the Department (Operation and Maintenance) Lt . Colonel Mohammad Tajul Islam Chowdhury said, DNCC is providing various types of fire fighting and rescue equipment to Fire Service and Civil Defense under the URP project.

It is to be noted that the equipment handed over includes four water rescue boats and related equipment, which will enhance the capacity of Fire Service and Civil Defense in river fire fighting and rescue operations.
