Death of private car driver due to heat stroke in Debiganj

A private car driver named Ahsan Ali alias Hasan (37) died prematurely due to heat stroke in Debiganj of Panchagarh.

On Thursday (April 25) at 6 in the evening, Ahsan Ali suffered from heat stroke at the bank of Kaliganj Sukatu Main High School of Dandapal Union of Upazila.

Ahsan Ali, who died of heat stroke, is the son of deceased Hasem Ali of Telipara area of Deviduba union of upazila. He was a private car driver of a company called M/s Sabu Tedders of Kaliganj Bazar.

According to local sources, on Thursday afternoon, Ahsan Ali took the private car to the bank of Sukatu Main High School pond adjacent to Kaliganj Bazar.

There he was washing the car and talking on the phone. When he suddenly felt sick, Ahsan Ali asked the people around him to catch him and collapsed. Ahsan Ali died on the way to Debiganj Upazila Health Complex when the locals rescued him and tried to heal him by pouring water on his head but failed.

Deviduba Union Parishad Chairman Paresh Chandra Roy confirmed the death due to heat stroke and said, "Yesterday evening, a driver named Ahsan Ali suffered from heat stroke. He died on the way to the hospital. His burial was completed this morning."
