Cyclist killed in CNG -cycle collision in Gafargaon

Md. Hafiz Uddin (35), a cyclist, was killed on the spot in a head-on collision with a CNG bicycle in Gafargaon, Mymensingh.
He is the son of Surjat Ali alias Kailla of Malmal village in Datterbazar union. The incident took place on Gafargaon to Barmi road on Saturday afternoon.
According to local and family sources, the deceased Md. Hafiz Uddin was returning home by bicycle after buying salt from the local Saterobari market. After coming to Gafargaon to Barmi road, his bicycle collided head-on with the CNG coming from the opposite direction at Kachari intersection of Malmal village.
The bike overturned and he died on the spot due to profuse bleeding from the head injury.
Rasheduzzaman, OC of Pagla police station, said that the killer CNG was arrested but the driver escaped.
