Country's per capita income crosses Tk 3 lakh for 1st time

The average per capita income of the country has crossed Tk 3 lakh for the first time in the wake of recent price hike of the US dollar.
According to the latest calculation of the Bangladesh Bureau of Statistics (BBS), the average per capita income of the country is now $2,784 (Tk 3,06,144).
The BBS on Monday night published the information including the calculation of gross domestic income (GDP), growth, investment, and per capita income.
BBS statistics showed that the per capita income of the country was $2,749 in the 2022-23 fiscal year which increased $35 in the span of one year.
