Coast Guard arrested gang leader of terrorist group Nannu , his son Arif with weapons in Bhola

Bangladesh Coast Guard arrested the gang leader of the notorious terrorist group Nannu Mia and his son Arif with two firearms and a large quantity of indigenous weapons in Bhola Sadar on Friday morning.

Coast Guard Headquarters Media Officer Lt. Md. Siam-ul-Haq informed this.

He said that for several days, a violent terrorist group led by AKM Nasiruddin Nannu Mia, including the area adjacent to the stadium under the Sadar Upazila of Bhola district, and various areas of Madanpur Union and Charre, is known to have been conducting extortion, land grabbing and various misdeeds by holding the local people hostage.

It is said that the affected local people have faced various threats of death if they sought help from the Coast Guard. Later, based on secret information, a joint operation was conducted by Bangladesh Coast Guard South Zone, Bangladesh Navy and Bangladesh Police from 0230 hours to 0600 hours on Friday. During the operation, the house of Miaji, located on Meteorological Office Road under Sadar Upazila of Bhola district was searched: Notorious terrorist AKM Nasiruddin Nannu Mia (62) and his son Md Arif (33) 02 firearms (native pipe gun), 10 native weapons (05 ramada, 04 da , 01 Shabal) and 02 mobiles were seized. The arrested terrorist Nannu Mia is the son of deceased Ismail Mia, a resident of Miyaji House, Meteorological Office Road under Sadar Upazila of Bhola District.

Later, the arrested terrorists were handed over to Bhola Sadar police station along with seized firearms, indigenous weapons and all evidence.
