
Classes begin for first year undergraduates begin at DU

Classes for the first year undergraduate program of Dhaka University for the 2024-2025 session began on Wednesday.
Dhaka University VC Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmad Khan visited classrooms of various departments under the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Besides. Pro-VC (Education) Prof Dr. Mamun Ahmed visited classrooms of various departments under the Faculty of Science and Treasurer Professor Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury visited classrooms of various departments under the Faculty of Business Studies.
At that time, the respective Faculty Deans and Chairpersons and teachers of various departments were present.
During the classroom visits, they spoke to teachers and students and exchanged greetings. Congratulating the newly admitted students, they said that through a highly competitive examination, the students have earned the opportunity to get admitted into this university. From the very beginning of university life, they must move forward by setting goals for the development of knowledge, wisdom, and intellect.
Along with education and research, they must also participate in sports and co-curricular activities and acquire various linguistic and organizational skills. They urged the students to get involved with social, cultural, and volunteer clubs to achieve skills in organizational and other areas. They expressed hope that the new Bangladesh will advance through the hands of a skilled young generation.
