Case field against 5 cops including OC for CNG driver murdering in Katiadi

A murder case has been filed in Kishoreganj Court against the Officer in charge (OC) of the Police Station , three Sub-inspectors (SIs) and a constable, alleging that an CNG run auto -rickshaw driver named Yasin Mia (40) died after being beaten up by the police in Katiadi town of Kishoreganj.
The case was filed in the Judicial Magistrate Court , kishoreganj by Maryam Akhter, the daughter of the deceased Yasin Mia.The accused police members are Katiadi Police Station OC Tariqul Islam, Sub-Inspectors (SI) Kamal Hossain, Mostafa Mia, Nahid Hasan and Constable Ashraful Islam.Earlier, the remaining four people except the OC were withdrawn and attached to Kishoreganj Police Lines in this incident.
At the same time, to find out the cause of Yasin's death, Additional Superintendent of Police (Hossainpur Circle) Md. Tofazzal Hossain was formed by Superintendent of Police (SP) Md. Hasan Chowdhury BPM, to form an investigation committee.
The court has directed the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI) to investigate the case further.
However, accused OC Tariqul Islam said, 'No case has been filed yet. A complaint has been filed in the court. The court has ordered the PBI to investigate the complaint.'
