BNP leader stabbed dead in Sitakunda

A local BNP leader was stabbed to death reportedly by some miscreants in front of the residence in Sitakunda of Chattogram on Thursday night.
The deceased was Mir Arman Hossain, 48, a resident of Jungle Salimpur No. 4 , and former forest and environment affair secretary of Salimpur union unit BNP.
Quoting locals, Fauzdarhat police outpost inspector Sohel Rana said Arman came out of his residence and was talking someone over mobile phone. Some unidentified miscreants stabbed Arman with sharp weapon at around 7PM on Thursday. Later police recovered the body at around 9PM.
They suspected that Arman might have been killed over establishing supremacy in the area.
Md Mojibur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge of Sitakunda police station, said that they have taken legal steps in this regard and are trying to nab the accused persons.
