BGB seized cocaine, heroin worth Tk 62 lakh in Nilphamari

BGB has seized heroin and cocaine worth about Tk 62 lakh taka in Nilphamari on Wednesday noon.
56 BGB Nilphamari Battalion, near Darwani Textile Mill, searched a bus on the road in front of Gate No. 1 and recovered the drugs.
This information was given in a press conference organized at the headquarters of 56 Bijiri Nilphamari Battalion around 5 pm on Wednesday.
The acting captain of Nilphamari battalion of BGB, Major Riyad Morshed, said that on the basis of secret information, a special check post was set up in front of gate number one of BGB battalion on the
Nilphamari-Sayedpur road and a raid was conducted on the passenger Bismillah Paribahan (Tangal-J-11-0067) going from Domar to Sayedpur. Meanwhile, 970 grams of heroin and 860 grams of cocaine were recovered from the bus without its owner. The estimated value of which is 62 lakh 40 thousand taka. The matter of filing a case in this regard is under process.
Among others, Assistant Director of BGB Nilphamari Battalion Jasim Uddin was present at the press conference.
