BCS teachers formed a human chain in Pirojpur demanding elimination of inter-cadre discrimination.
The human chain was held on Thursday afternoon at the Pirojpur Government Suhrawardy College premises. BCS teachers from various government colleges in the district participated in it.
The speakers in the human chain said, we got our second independence through the July Revolution. We were freed from the hands of the fascist government. Therefore, we do not want any more discrimination. Education was included in the cadre service since the British era, but now the Public Administration Reforms Commission has recommended that education and health be excluded from the cadre. Which will discriminate against us. We do not want this discrimination. We want our rights.
During this time, Pirojpur Government Suhrawardy College Principal Panna Lal Roy, Pirojpur Government Women's College Principal Sheikh Rafiqul Islam, Pirojpur Government Suhrawardy College Assistant Professors Md. Shahabuddin Sikder, Md. Shahin Reza, Md. Ilias Bepari and others spoke.
