Rangpur Correspondent
Leader of the Opposition in Jatiya Sangsad and chairman of Jatiya Party GM Quader said, “It is not right to ban any political party by administrative order.
If people find any party harmful to them, they will boycott it. One day that political party will disappear. If they have the receptivity and organizational structure it is not possible to destroy. So, if something is done by force, they will go underground to carry out their activities. This will sow the seeds of an unusual politics.” He came to Rangpur on a two-day visit on Wednesday afternoon and said this in response to various questions from journalists at Circuit House in Rangpur.
GM Quader said, “Government has created a dangerous situation by firing on people using state machinery. Trying to impose their views through repression. Those who will protect the people of the country and the state are pointing guns at the people. Those who were shot indiscriminately could not be proved to be terrorists.”
He also said, "From the helicopter, from the roof of the house, how did the army understand who is a terrorist, who is good, who is a child?" Due to such activities of the government, the country's economy has been severely damaged. The reputation of the country has been damaged in the world. One day, Bangladesh will be identified as a terrorist country in the outside world.
GM Quader said, “I have seen many struggles in my life. But I have never seen such a movement where the common people of the country came together. No matter how much the BNP Jamaat is blamed, people have come to the field suffering from extreme discrimination. This is a people's struggle. If any of those groups have it, it can be private. The party is not responsible for this.”
At that time Japa Co-Chairman and Rangpur City Corporation Mayor Mostafizar Rahman Mostafa and many others were present.
