Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Forces won the first place in the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) implementation evaluation of the Public Security Division of the Ministry of Home Affairs for the fiscal year 2022-23.

After the introduction of APA in FY 2014-15, Ansar and Village Defense Forces has achieved the distinction of getting the top spot for the first time.

On Sunday (June 23) in the conference room of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the signing of the annual performance agreement for the financial year 2024-25, the evaluation of the annual performance agreement for the financial year 2022-23 and the ceremony of the Purity Award for the financial year 2023-24 were organized. There, Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan handed over the certificate and crest to the Director General of the Army Major General AKM Aminul Haque in recognition of this meritorious achievement.

Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defense Force Assistant Director (VDP Training) and Public Relations Officer Rubel Hossain said that the Director General of the Force, Major General AKM Aminul Haque, thanked all the officers and employees of the force for achieving the first place in the evaluation of the implementation of the Annual Performance Agreement (APA).

He urged everyone to be inspired by this achievement and work with more professional attitude with honesty, devotion and sincerity.

Besides, he urged all the forces to work together to build a developed, prosperous and smart Bangladesh through the implementation of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's Vision 2041.

Incidentally, the Annual Performance Agreement (APA) is essentially a self-regulatory strategy that drives an organization towards achieving its goals. It reflects the government's election manifesto, Sustainable Development Goals 2030, Eighth Five Year Plan (2021-25), Vision Plan, Delta Plan-2100.

In order to implement these development plans, the plan is adopted as a means of implementing the annual performance agreement in every department of the government. An annual performance agreement (APA) is particularly helpful in establishing an effective governance system by determining what activities an organization will undertake in the coming year, how many activities it will undertake, and implementing them.
