AL accepted India’s slavery to hang on to power: Sarjis

Staff Correspondent

July Shaheed Smrity Foundation General Secretary Md Sarjis Alam has blamed the defeated fascist Awami League for accepting India’s slavery to hang on to the state power.

“Awami League accepted India’s slavery willingly to secure the state power. Power was more valuable to them than the country, its people and its sovereignty. They wanted to hang on to power by any means,” he said.

India has taken a stand against the sentiments of the people of Bangladesh by providing shelter to defeated autocrat Sheikh Hasina, Sarjis Alam, said on Saturday.

“India takes a stand against the sentiments of the Bangladeshi people by sheltering murderer Sheikh Hasina. She must be sent back to our country for trial,” he said while addressing a programme in Chattogram this afternoon.

Blaming the Awami League for taking India to the queue of masters during its last 16 years of rule, Sarjis said, “Sheikh Hasina a is murderous dictator and bloodthirsty. Her addiction to blood is not over yet. She is still hatching a conspiracy, staying in India without any lamentation.”

Sarjis, while addressing the programme organised by Islami Andolan Bangladesh, said Bangladesh’s relationship with India cannot endure for long if the neighbour adopts a hegemonic attitude toward Bangladesh.
