BNP Central Executive Committee member Abu Naser Md. Rahmatullah said, no one can be kept in power by force. People were angry and outraged in 1975 when freedom, democracy, basic human rights, and constitutional rights were killed.

He said these while delivering the chief guest's speech at the prayer meeting and distribution of winter clothes among the underprivileged organized by BNP and its affiliated organizations in Charmonai Union on Sunday afternoon to mark the 89th birth anniversary of martyred President Ziaur Rahman.

He also said that martyred President Ziaur Rahman played a role in the crisis when there was no one to lead. He led the nation, rescued it from the crisis and inspired the nation to jump into the liberation war. Later, President Ziaur Rahman again took the responsibility of the state to fulfill the demands, wishes and aspirations of the sepoys and the people to establish democracy, the desire of the liberation war, and the fundamental rights of the people. The state put martyr President Ziaur Rahman in power through the revolution of the sepoys and the people. And in just three months of taking charge, he brought the price of all food items under control and brought all items within the purchasing power of the people.

He said that Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was defeated in Bangladesh time and again by Ziaur Rahman's love of country, Ziaur Rahman's love of democracy, Ziaur Rahman's honesty, and Ziaur Rahman's courage. Where Sheikh Mujibur Rahman failed as a leader and ruler, martyr President Ziaur Rahman succeeded.

He said that Sheikh Hasina wanted to eliminate Begum Khaleda Zia by filing a false conspiracy case to eliminate her. She was thrown out of her husband's house in a single cloth but now Sheikh Hasina has not left or Khaleda Zia has been dishonored. Today Sheikh Hasina and her cronies have fled Bangladesh. And my leader Begum Khaleda Zia has been honored by Allah Almighty. Today the army chief himself visited her house. Today she went abroad for treatment out of self-respect. Where Sheikh Hasina has been a traitor, Begum Khaleda Zia has succeeded, has become a patriot, has become an uncompromising leader, has become a person of honor.

He said, according to the instructions of our leader Tarique Rahman, we have been struggling for the right to vote for the last 15 years. Millions of people across the country have filed cases and gone to jail to establish the right to vote. Our leader Tarique Rahman said that you should help BNP to establish the right to vote.

If you help, you will not have to vote for BNP. Tarique Rahman said - you strengthen my hand, after the right to vote is established, you will vote for whoever you want. But we must remember who was successful in running the state in the past. In order to continue the development of Bangladesh in the way that Shaheed Ziaur Rahman and Begum Khaleda Zia did, the people will have to play a vocal role in favor of whomever Mr. Tarique Rahman hands over the paddy or nominates for the post in the future.
