89 Dhan's field day held in Nakla

A field day was held on BRRI Dhan-89 rice varieties invented by Bangladesh Rice Research Institute (BRRI) for Boro season of the fiscal year 2022-2023 in Nakla upazila of Sherpur district on Monday noon.
The field day was held in the courtyard of Mafizul Haque of Baneshwardi area under Vurdi block of Baneshwardi union in the upazila.
The program was organized by the upazila agriculture office under the applied research department of Bangladesh Rice Research Institute.
The Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Shahriar Morsalin Mehdi presided over the field day, where Additional Deputy Director (ADD) of Sherpur farm house Agriculturist Md Masudur Rahman present as the chief guest and Baneshwardi Union Parishad Chairman Mazharul Anwar Mahabbat, Organizing Secretary of Baneshwardi union AL Mafizul Islam spoke as the special guests. They spoke on Bangladesh Rice Research Institute's invented BRRI Dhan-89 to encourage farmers.
Among others, Sub Assistant Agricultural Officer (SAAO) of the block concerned Md Ashraful Alam, rural agricultural poet Abdul Halim, Ward Awami League leader Kitab Ali, local political leaders, dignitaries of the area and hundreds of farmers were present on the occasion.
