15 ferries, 20 launches to ply on Daulatdia-Paturia route during Eid

A total of 15 ferries and 20 launches will ply on Daulatdia-Paturia, important route of south-western region, for crossing passengers and vehicles during the Eid-ul-Fitr.
Bangladesh Inland Water Transport Authority (BIWTA) authorities added two more ferries and three more launches to ensure smooth journey of holidaymakers and safe crossing of vehicles on the route.
The passengers and vehicles can use three ghats at Daulatdia point.
The decision was taken at a meeting held at deputy commissioners office on Thursday.
