Staff Correspondent

Mumtarin Ferdous Dorin, daughter of slain ruling party lawmaker Anwarul Azim Anar of Jhenidah-4 constituency, has said the killers have made her an orphan by killing her father.

"I want to see the killers of my father, I want their death penalty by hanging," she said in an instant reaction at Detective Branch (DB) office premises at Minto Road in the capital on Wednesday (May 22).

Dorin said: "I've no brother. We're just two sisters. My elder sister is a doctor and I study LLB under University of London. I myself have come here. I'm getting a lot of information as the DB police is looking into the matter 'sincerely.' We don't doubt anyone else. But, I want to see those who killed my father."

She further said," I've learnt that my father was murdered. Hearing it, I've come to the DB chief. They've already arrested three people. I'll file a case. I've talked to the Prime Minister, DMP Commissioner and DB chief. All of them have assured me. the DB is looking into the matter sincerely."Dorin, who often had burst into tears while giving her reactions to reporters, said, "Today, I have become an orphan. If someone doesn't have father, he or she doesn't have anyone else. At this time, she sought the prime minister's intervention seeking the justice into the murder of her father.

Anwarul Azim Anar MP went West Bengal of India for treatment on May 12 last. He went missing after telling his family over phone that he was going to Delhi. The blood-stained body of Anar was recovered from Sanjiva Garden at New Town in Bidhan Nagar of West Bengal on Wednesday (May 22) by New Town's TechnoCity Police Station's police.
