UNHCR chief to reach Dhaka today

UNHCR High Commissioner Filippo Grandi will arrive in Dhaka today (27 February) for a three-day tour.
During the tour, the UN refugee agency chief will meet Chief Adviser Dr Muhammad Yunus, and his high representative Khalilur Rahman.
He is scheduled to visit the Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar and Bhasanchor. According to former diplomats, addressing the Rohingya issue is expected to be a center focus of this visit.
Filippo Grandi made several visits to Bangladesh in the aftermath of the massacre of Rohingyas in Rakhine, Myanmar, in August 2017.
