Typhoid Vaccination Campaign inaugurated in Magura

The official inauguration of the “Typhoid Vaccination Campaign 2025” was held in Magura on Sunday at 9:00 a.m. in the premises of the Magura PTI School, organized by Magura Civil Surgeon’s Office..
The Deputy Commissioner of Magura, Md. Ohidul Islam, attended the program as the chief guest. Superintendent of Police, Mina Mahmuda, BPM, PPM, was present as special guest. The event was presided over by Dr. Md. Shamim Kabir, Civil Surgeon, Magura.
UNO Hasibul Hasan, Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Md. Afzal Hossain, District Education Officer Md. Alamgir Kabir, Superintendent of the 250-bed District Hospital Dr. Md. Mohsin Uddin Fakir, WHO Representative Dr. Suravi Akter, Professor Dr. Mohammad Abdul Hai of Magura Medical College, and Senior Health Education Officer Zillur Rahman from the Civil Surgeon’s Office, along with various health officials, education representatives, local administration members, and journalists were present.
Speakers at the event emphasized that vaccination plays a vital role in preventing typhoid, and through this initiative, all children and adolescents in the district will be brought under protection.
In Magura District, a target has been set to vaccinate 247,876 children across four upazilas, with the program being conducted simultaneously in 2,003 centers
The inaugural event was attended by health department officials, teachers, students, and people from various walks of life.
