Two smugglers arrested with illegal hill wood, truck at Moizzartek in Chattogram

Bangladesh Coast Guard has arrested two smugglers along with 206 cubic feet of illegal hill wood worth Tk 21 lakh and a truck in Moizzartek, Chattogram.
Coast Guard Media Officer Lieutenant Commander Siam-ul-Haque confirmed the information in a press release on Friday.
According to the press release, based on secret information, at 8 PM, a special operation was conducted by Coast Guard Base Chattogram in the Moizzartek roundabout area under Karnaphuli Police Station in Chattogram on Thursday.
During the operation, a suspicious truck was searched, and 206 cubic feet of illegal hill wood worth Tk 21 lakh and two wood traffickers were arrested.
The seized items and the detained Smugglers were handed over to the Chattogram South Forest Department for further legal action.
The Bangladesh Coast Guard will continue such operations in the future to maintain the law and order situation in the country.
