Tenure of Managing Committee of National Press Club extended for one year at EGM

The Extra General Meeting (EGM) of the National Press Club was held on Saturday.
The proposal to hold elections in December 2025 by extending the term of the current management committee of the club by one year was unanimously approved by the majority members.
Chaired by Club President Hasan Hafeez, General Secretary Ayub Bhuiyan in his written speech presented the proposal for the opinion of the members explaining the current situation in the country and it was unanimously accepted.
Club members Amirul Islam Kaghi, Sardar Farid Ahmad, Kaykobad Milan, Mahbub Alam, Mahmud Shafiq, Syed Tosharof Ali, Bachir Jamal, Shahidul Islam, Khurshid Alam, Syed Khan, Khandaker Alamgir Hossain, DM Amar, Rozi Ferdous, Mumtaz Bilquis Banu, Shaheen Hasnat, Obaidur Rahman Shaheen and Sultan Mahmud patricipated in the discussion.
The speakers at the meeting demanded the immediate expulsion of the supporters of fascism from the Press Club. They called for investigation and disclosure of irregularities and financial corruption of the past committee. They also demanded the cancellation of the membership of those causing trouble in today's extra meeting.
Managing committee members Kazi Rawnak Hossain, Syed Abdal Ahmad, Kavi Abdul Hai Shikdar, Masumur Rahman Khalili, Mo Momin Hossain, Shahnaz Begum Poli and Treasurer Bakhtiar Rana were present in the meeting.
