In Satkhira, the number of deaths due to corona symptoms has exceeded four hundred and fifty. According to information received on Saturday, nine more people have died in the last 24 hours due to corona symptoms. They died at Satkhira Medical College (SMC) Hospital. Eighty people have died of corona virus in Enye district till July 16 (Friday). And four hundred and fifty-eight people have died with symptoms.

The deceased have been identified as Abdul Gafur, 60, son of late Abdur Razzak of Shibpur village in Tala upazila of Satkhira, Nazrul Islam, son of late Abdus Sattar of Sahpur village in the same upazila and Sheikh Kamal Hossain, son of late Sheikh Abdus Sattar of Khajura village in the same upazila. Abdus Sattar, son of late Hanif of Baradal village of Asashuni upazila, Arshad Ali, son of late Isaq Ali of the same village, Bhim Chandra, son of late Sanyasi Charan of Katia area of the city Bharat Chandra Biswas, son of late Pagal Chandra Biswas of Sakhipur village in Debhata upazila and Razzak Biswas, son of late Hekmat Biswas of Mathshira village in Jhikargachha upazila of Jessore.

According to district health department sources, the deceased were admitted to the corona unit of Satkhira Medical College (SMC) Hospital at different times between June 29 and July 16 with various symptoms of corona including fever, cold, cough and shortness of breath. While undergoing treatment there, they died at different times between 2:15 pm and 5:30 pm on July 16.

Meanwhile, the rate of corona infection has decreased again in Satkhira. Thirty-three more corona have been identified in the last twenty-four hours. One hundred and seventy-five samples were tested at this time. The detection rate is eighteen point eighty six percent. The detection rate on the previous day was twenty four point sixty five percent.
Satkhira Sadar Hospital Medical Officer and District Corona Information Officer Dr Jayant Kumar Sarkar said nine more people had died of corona symptoms in the district in the last 24 hours. A total of one hundred and seventy five samples were tested in the RT PCR lab of SMC Hospital and thirty-three corona positives were identified. The detection rate is eighteen point eighty six percent.
He added that the total number of corona patients in Satkhira till Thursday, July 16 was four thousand eight hundred and twenty five. A total of three thousand five hundred and thirty seven people have recovered in the district. At present there are one thousand two hundred and eight corona patients in the district. Of these, 34 were hospitalized. Among the admitted patients, there are 26 in government hospitals and eight in private hospitals. There are one thousand one hundred and seventy one people in home isolation at home.

Three hundred and twenty-eight people have been admitted to the hospital with symptoms. Of these, 247 are in government hospitals and 81 are in private hospitals. The total number of admitted patients in the district, both public and private, is 354. Fifty-four people have recovered in the last 24 hours in the district. 80 people have been infected with the virus in the district till July 16 and another 458 have died of the symptoms.
