Rally protesting anti-social activities in Gobindaganj

Gobindaganj Ulama Parishad organized a rally, protest march and a memorandum to the Upazila administration demanding end to obscene processions, illegal hauzis, circuses, gambling, drug gatherings and anti-social activities in the name of the Gobindaganj Phulpukuria Adivasi Milon Mela in Gaibandha.
On Monday afternoon, Maulana Khalilur Rahman, Maulana Ashraf Ali, Maulana Abdur Rahman Ayubi, Maulana Ataur Rahman, Maulana Mumin and other leaders spoke at the rally in front of the Upazila Model Mosque.a
The speakers demanded that the all-night gambling, drug parties, obscene processions, and illegal houzi circuses at the tribal gathering in Phulpukuria be stopped within 24 hours. Otherwise, the Ulama Council will demolish the procession-gambling pandal along with the Tawheed people.
