Cheques distributed among farmers in Rangpur

With the aim of helping farmers increase their confidence and financial capacity, low-interest investment cheques worth more than Tk 6.5 million have been distributed among 52 selected farmers of Rangpur Division for financial inclusion and support of marginal farmers with the help of Bangladesh Bank.
In collaboration with Shahjalal Islami Bank, Sheba Agrotech and Seed Limited, the cheque distribution ceremony was held at Bhangni Union Parishad No. 4, Mithapukur, implemented by the SME and Agricultural Investment Department, Dhaka on Monday.
Bangladesh Bank Rangpur Executive Director Rafiqul Islam was the chief guest. The ceremony was presided over by Abdur Rahim, Head of SME Department of Shahjalal Islami Bank, and special guests were Obaid Ullah Chowdhury, Director of Bangladesh Bank, Miratur Rahman, Additional Director, Sheba Agrotech and Seed Limited Managing Director Kazi Borhan Amin, Field Director Nurunnabi Nayan and Bhangni Union Abdullah Al Mamun.
