Jhalakati District Jubo Dal Joint Convener Selim Hasan held a press conference in protest against the false and fabricated press conference in the name of District Chhatra Dal Library Affairs Secretary Md. Ariful Islam Sajib and District Tati Dal President Md. Bachchu Hasan Khan. The press conference was held at Jhalokati Press Club on Saturday noon.

The press conference alleged that Mizanur Rahman Raju, Rony Sikder, Arifur Rahman Palash, Ashiful Islam Rahat, Mehedi Hasan, who introduced Jubo Dal, Swechchhasebak Dal and Chhatra Dal in Dhansiri Union of Sadar Upazila, held a press conference at Jhalokati Press Club on 22/01/2025. At the press conference, attempts were made through social media to mislead and misrepresent the names of Jhalokati District Jubo Dal Joint Convener Selim Hasan, District Chhatra Dal Library Affairs Secretary Md. Ariful Islam Sajib, and District Tati Dal President Md. Bachchu Hasan Khan, who were active on the streets in the movement to overthrow the fascist Awami government, who were the victims of BNP and its affiliated organizations, and who were persecuted and oppressed.

In a written statement at the press conference, District Jubo Dal Joint Convener Selim Hasan alleged that after the fall of fascist Hasina through the August 5 student-people's revolution, Mizanur Rahman Raju, Roni Sikder, Aslam Sikder, Mehedi Hasan, Asiqur Rahman Rahat attacked and looted houses in various villages of Dhansiri Union, especially Abu Akter Member Montu's house, Gias Member's house, Bashir's sheep and goat farm. Raju, Roni, Rahat, Mehedi looted and divided the money and got into a conflict among themselves. There is widespread criticism of this issue throughout the union (for extortion and land grabbing in shops and business establishments in the area), working as hired foremen, collecting money for sand filling work, collecting money from various stands, and taking financial benefits in exchange for shelter for Awami League friends, creating terror in the area. We protested against this syndicate using various social media platforms including Facebook and Facebook ID to protect the image of the party. I have filed a complaint with the district BNP leaders regarding this incident. The district union BNP leaders were present at the press conference.

It is said in the complaint that on 22/01/2020, a terrorist group went to beat up the joint convener of the district Jubo Dal, Md. Selim Hasan, and the library secretary of the district Chhatra Dal, Md. Arifur Islam Sajib. There is video footage of this. There is irrefutable evidence of the Raju-Roni gang's various immoral activities, including extortion. Raju-Roni Palash and Mehdi, residents of Char Bhatarakanda area of Dhansiri Union, kidnapped Kawsar and his father from their house, locked them in a room called Rajur Club at the old ferry ghat, tortured them, made them sign a white stamp and cartridge paper, and made them sign a promise to receive 45,000/- taka, and took 10,000/- taka in cash from their families and released them.

There is also video footage of this incident. Rahat, Raju and Aslam Sikder gang forcibly sold the trees of Nasir and Gias Talukder on the east side of Gabkhan Bazar in Dhansiri Union and took 26,000/- taka.

Raju, Roni, Mehedi Gong are desperate to get immoral benefits in all places including the fish enclosure, chicken farm, brick kiln in Dhansiri Union. Since we are true soldiers of the nationalist ideology and have actively participated in the past movement and struggle on the streets, Bhuifor has been protesting strongly against the immoral activities of all those controversial people for the past few days and has recently held a press conference at the Press Club on false and fabricated charges. Fake propaganda on fake IDs all the time.

People who have been in touch with the Awami League in the past and have been actively working in the Awami League committee from being an affiliate of BNP. They were included in the election activities of the Awami League without voting and night voting, that is, in the election management committee and worked cooperatively. The proof of which is the area-based Awami League's center committee and the election with Awami Chairman Masum in hundreds of Awami League programs. There are pictures and videos.

The people who held the press conference on 22/01/25 are friends of the fascist Awami government. I have mentioned some of their misdeeds today, which you will find proof of if you go to the area and collect information. If anyone can provide any proof of the allegations made against us, we will accept the trial or punitive action that the party will take. And we demand that the misdeeds of those who spread this false information be investigated and tried.
