The police arrested one person while removing the iron door and window from the information service center of Bakulbaria Union Parishad of Galachipa upazila of Patuakhali.

The incident took place around 10 am on Saturday at the intersection of Guabaria village of Bakulbaria union of the upazila.

The arrested person's name is Hanif Mollah (55). He is the son of Apter Molla of village Lamna of Ward No. 5 of Bakulbaria Union.

It is known that on Saturday morning, Hanif Molla entered the information service center building of the Union Parishad, opened the doors and windows and took various items in an autovan. The local people saw the matter and quickly informed the Kalagachiya Police Investigation Center. On receiving the information, SI Kamal Hossain of the investigation center reached the spot and arrested Hanif Molla and seized the goods.

Bakulbaria Union Degree College Principal Regina Akhter's name has come up in this incident. The arrested Hanif Mollah admitted that he was opening the doors and windows on the instructions of the principal Regina Akhtar.

When Regina Akhtar was contacted by phone, she said, "Two rooms allocated for the information service center belong to the Union Parishad. But the rest of the rooms are privately owned by us. The information center is abandoned and hangs out with drug addicts. So I asked to open the doors and windows.

The police will take necessary action after investigating the goods and the detained person of the information service center of the Union Parishad. The Information Service Center was allocated by the Union Parishad

Inspector in charge of Kalagachiya Police Investigation Center Jhelan Howladar confirmed the truth of the incident and said that the process of taking legal action against the detained person is underway. The recovered goods have been kept in police custody.
