Qualified representatives need to run state well : Tofail Ahmed

Head of Local Government Reform Commission, Professor Dr. Tofail Ahmed, said that qualified representatives are needed to run the state well. A participatory, free, fair and impartial election can provide the state with qualified representatives. And there is no alternative to everyone's cooperation in organizing this election.
He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a meeting on local government reform jointly organized by the Reform Commission, Local Government Department, District Administration and Democracy International on Thursday afternoon at the conference room of the Rangpur District Administration.
Tofail Ahmed said, 'There are countries in the world where there is no constitution, yet that country is being run well. The reason for this is that everyone performs their duties properly from their respective positions. Regarding the election of public representatives, he said, the people must elect educated and qualified representatives.

Tariqul Alam, Director of Rangpur Local Government Department Abu Jafar, Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rabiul Faisal, Superintendent of Police Abu Saim, Jamaat-e-Islami Central Working Committee member Professor Mahbubur Rahman Belal, among others was present.
